He was predeceased by: his parents, John Lawler and Rosalie Lawler (McCabe). He is survived by: his wife Lorraine (Benkovich); his children, Kelly Lawler and Jack Lawler (Lisa); and his grandsons, Jack and Michael Lawler.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a memorial donation to the American Heart Association.
