He was predeceased by: his parent John Buckwalter. He is survived by: his parent Patricia Ann (Detrick); his wife Virginia Buckwalter (Ludwig); his children, Colin Detrick Buckwalter, John Randall Buckwalter and Joel Ernest Buckwalter; and his sisters, Elaine Hughes (Frank) and Nancy White (Roy).
