He was predeceased by: his parents, John J. and Evelyn Sweeney, Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Kathryn Sweeney; his children, Mary Sweeney-Lehr (Christian), Daniel Sweeney (Tammy) and Richard Sweeney (Lauri); and his siblings, Patricia Shaver and Bernard Sweeney.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, there will be a private Memorial Mass for John.
