He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Harry Gitomer and Sylvia Gitomer; his wife Arlene Marcia; his children, Mark Gitomer and Sheryl Gitomer; and his siblings, Charles Gitomer, Ellen Gitomer and Ruth Bell. He was also cherished by three grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
