He was predeceased by: his father Elliot Vernon; his daughter Leslie; his brothers, Vernon and Algernon Gaskin; and his siblings-in-law, Bobby, Curtis Henley, Ellare Wilson and Sandra Draper.
He is survived by: his wife Sally Mae (Henley); his children, Gail and Greg (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Tommy, Kimmy and Allare (Omar); his great grandchildren, Issah, Xavier and Nora; and his siblings-in-law, Sonny (Anthony Henley) and Catherine Stewart. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.
Jean Paul Gaskin was born in Brooklyn, New York on July 29, 1931 to the late Elliot Vernon and Lilian Parkinson Gaskin.
