He is survived by: his fiancé Shirley Ann Newman of Gilbert Arizona; his sisters, Nancy Birchfield of West Virginia and Ann Doane of Laceyville Pennsylvania; and his nephews, James (Bonnie Thornton) and Richard (Josephine Thornton).
