He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Ely and Anna Ely (Renton). He is survived by: his wife Katherine Ely of Honeybrook; his sons, Donald G. Ely (Dianna) of Clyde, NC, James E. Ely (Rose) of Norristown and Andrew C. Ely (Nina) of Norristown; his brother Claude Ely of Florida; and his grandchildren, Phil Ely, Andi Ely, Becky Pendergast, Chris Ely, Sarah Strauss and Clare Ely. He is also survived by 7 Great Grandchildren.
