He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Harry F. and Phyllis Norton, Sr. (Wilson); his daughters, Michele Norton of Norristown and Wendy Derr (Jeffrey) of Boyertown; his grandchildren, Walter Bean, IV (Toni), Christopher Bean (Gina) and Melissa Bean; his great grandchildren, Brianna, Walter V, Nicholas, Miriam, Natalie, Maria and Christopher, Jr.; his stepdaughters, Aliza and Sharon Dunn; and his sisters, Jane Sturdevant, Joan Jones and Phyllis Thomas.
