She was predeceased by: her parents, George Janifer and Reatha M. Janifer (Abney); her son Shawne Terrell Mims; her granddaughter Kenyatta Brewer; and her siblings, George Janifer, Jr., James F. Janifer, Sr. and Florence M. Janifer Davis.
She is survived by: her husband Samuel Earl Mims, Sr. of Norristown, PA; her daughter Carol Mitahsha Barnes (William) of Bear, DE; her stepchildren, Samuel E. Mims, Jr. of California, Maureen "Rene" Mims of Philadelphia, PA, Devika Rhoads of Norristown, PA and Von Bakr Mims of Philadelphia, PA; and her granddaughter Kennedy Patrice Barnes of Bear, DE.. She is also survived by step grandchildren, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
