He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Shirley; his children, Debra Margolis (Ken), Ronnie Cariss and George J., Jr.; his stepchildren, Cheryl Flynn (Shawn), Patrick O'Donnell (Theresa), Beverly O'Donnell and John O'Donnell; and his siblings, William Cariss (Claudia) and Alvin Cariss (Janet). He was also cherished by 27 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
