He was predeceased by: his wife Antonia Barbato (Manetti); his father August Barbato,; and his brother Anthony "Doc" Barbato. He is survived by: his children, Michael Barbato (Janice), Frank Barbato (Brenda) and Kathryn Bloomfield (Gary Waddington); and his sister Theresa "Sis" Knoeble. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, several great-great-grandchildren.
