He was predeceased by: his parents, John Fletcher Wilson, Sr. and Ida Elizabeth Wilson (Smith); his son James Arnold Wilson; and his grandsons, Christopher Johnson and Michael Allen.

He is survived by: his wife Queen E. Wilson (Foster); and his children, Norma Scott (Nate), Joyce Morris and Michael Wilson. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
