She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Lewellen and Violet Wilma Porterfield Lewellen; her husband Effin L. Smalley; her son James Allen Smalley; and her siblings, Nina Marilene Luce and John Arthur Lewellen.
She is survived by: her son Edward Smalley of Normalville; and her sisters, Clara Mae Miller (Albert) of Carmichaels and Audrey Jean Smith (Earl "Hayseed" Porterfield) of Connellsville. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and cousins.
