It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Searles D. Rhen Jr. of Nisbet, Pennsylvania, born in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, who passed away on December 31, 2021, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Searles D. Rhen, Sr. and Bertha B. Rhen (Hammaker); his former wife Sharon A. Rhen (McCaslin); his stepson John MacGill; and his siblings, Jean Lewis, John Bollinger, Richard and Ray Rhen.

He is survived by: his wife Maggie Ruth MacGill-Rhen (Calhoun); his daughters, Cindy L. Gatz of Harrisburg and Kim J. Black (Kris) of Montoursville; his stepsons, Jeff MacGill (Kim) of Nisbet and Mike MacGill (Heather) of Nisbet; his grandchildren, Kayla, Amy, Joey, Marshall, Dillon, Katie, Tim, Amanda, Dakota, Savannah, Kim, Beth and John; his brother Charles Rhen of Linden; and his pet Artie.
