He was predeceased by: his son Benjamin McGowan. He is survived by: his wife Julie A. McGowan; his stepson Caleb J. Barrick; his parents, Elenora McGowan of Carlisle and James McGowan; his siblings, Wendy Beecher, Scott (Deb McGowan) and Mitzi McGowan (Jim Ewing); and his nieces and nephews, Zach Cassell (Brooklyn Hamner), Jordan McGowan, Breanne Beecher (Robbie Wolford), Danielle McGowan and Andrew Beecher.
