He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl B. Alwood and Mary A. Rutters Alwood. He is survived by: his wife Vickii Kline Alwood; and his sons, R. James Alwood (Jeanne) of Maryland and Richard C. Alwood (Kathy) of Carlisle. He is also survived by five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
