He was predeceased by: his parents, William Gilbert, Sr. and Mildred Gilbert (Noaker); his brothers, Richard and Larry Gilbert; and his granddaughter Shawn Kutz.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Gilbert (Line); his children, Clinton Gilbert of Newville, Craig Gilbert of Newville and Heather O'Donnell (John) of Carlisle; his siblings, Lester of Elizabethtown, Jerry of Newville, Bill of Mechanicsburg, Helen Hahn of Carlisle, Donna Rae Stouffer of Newville, Lois Burkholder of Newville and Carol Jumper of Carlisle; and his stepsons, Ron Kutz (Lynne), John Kutz (Sherisa) and Ralph "Skip" Reed Jr.. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
