He was predeceased by: his parents, Daisy P. Mathna and Merle Mathna; and his siblings, Jack Mathna, Joann Baker and Martha "Sis" Varner.
He is survived by: his wife Sheila R. (Feister); his sons, Troy L. Mathna (Michelle) of Shippensburg, Richard E. Mathna Jr. (Jeanette) of Shippensburg and Todd E. Mathna (Joy) of Shermansdale; and his siblings, Gary Mathna and Janet Ingram. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to offset funeral expenses.
