He was predeceased by: his parents, Max H. Swartz and Ottie McManus Swartz; his wife Betty Lehman Swartz; and his siblings, Sharon Swartz, Mike Swartz, John Swartz, Jeff Swartz and Doug Swartz.
He is survived by: his children, Bryan L. Swartz (Evelyn), Randall A. Swartz (Pamela) and Kimberly M. Gsell (John); his grandchildren, Leah Fleming, Kyle Schlusser, Emily McKee, Gage Gsell and Raegan Gsell; his great grandchildren, Layne Fleming, Oliver McKee, Rilynn Schlusser, Karter Fleming, Everette McKee, Crew Fleming and Everly Schlusser; and his siblings, Wendy Johnstone, Tim Swartz, Sam Swartz and Bill Swartz.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 16th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday, February 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Egger Funeral Home (15 W Big Spring Ave, Newville, PA 17241). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warriors Foundation, Tunnel for Towers, of St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
