It is with great sadness that we announce the death of JoAnne Mae Shearer of Newville, Pennsylvania, who passed away on May 4, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her father Lawrence David; her siblings, Maynard, Robert, Martha, Gayle, Merrill, Mary, Betty, Ruth and Jeanne; and her grandson Kyle.

She is survived by: her husband William Linden Shearer Sr.; her children, William L. Jr. (Connie) of Carlisle, Jeffery Weary (Jeanne Conlon) of Bloserville, Tracey Anne Holman (Nick) of York and Valerie JoAnne S. Overton (Ken) of Chestertown, MD; her granddaughter-in-law Kayla Shearer; her grandchildren, Madison, Matthew (Sarah), Brian Shearer, Nicholas (Liz), Philip Holman, Tilghman, Peri Overton, Nate Gutshall, Jordana and Brielle Johnson; and her great grandchildren, Kayla, Emerson, Henry, Delilah, Sophia, Casen Shearer, Samuel Witmer and Aria Holman.
