We are sad to announce that on May 25, 2024, at the age of 96, Dorothea J. Baumbach of Newville, Pennsylvania passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though Dorothea has departed this earthly realm, her legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May her spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Stoner and Clara Harclerode Stoner; her stepsons, Robert W. Baumbach, Sr. and Jeffrey L. Baumbach; and her siblings, Marlin Stoner, Leverne Stoner, Frank Stoner, Sr., Martha Velma Paulus and Clara Shettle.

She is survived by: her son Dennis E. Matthews (Bonnie) of Carlisle; and her stepdaughter Sharon K. Beard of Middletown. She is also survived by 3 grandchildren, 6 step-grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, 7 step-great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
