He is survived by: his wife Sarah Jane Shoemaker Smith; his children, Cathy Gilbert, Penny Rowe, Judy Troop and Charles Smith Jr.; and his siblings, Jean Mooney, Larry Smith, Paul Smith and Donnie Smith. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren.
