It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Elizabeth Searfoss of Newville, Pennsylvania, born in Corning, New York, who passed away on December 6, 2022, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Louis Cox and Marie Minnie Cox (Hakes); her children, David Searfoss (Betty) of Clearwater, FL, Kevin Searfoss (Annette) of Greencastle, PA, Keith Searfoss of Newville, PA, Gloria Brennan (Robert) of Lawrenceville, PA and Dawn Shaffer of Newville, PA; her sisters, Caroline Hill of Athens, PA and Eleanor Sample of Bath, NY; her husband Leland Searfoss; and her sons, Guy Searfoss and Kenneth Searfoss. She was also cherished by 13 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, Betty would prefer you plant a tree in her memory.
