It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Roy Radner of Newtown, Pennsylvania, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on October 6, 2022, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Samuel Radner and Ella Radner; his wife Charlotte Kuh; his children, Hilary Radner, Ami Radunskaya and Ephraim Radner; his stepchildren, Siobhan Stiglitz Florek and Michael Stiglitz; his grandchildren, Ezra, Hannah and Isaac; his great grandchild Callahan; his former wife Virginia; and his daughter Erica.
He held positions with the Cowles Foundation, the University of California (Berkeley), the Kennedy School at Harvard, Bell Laboratories and the Stern School at New York University. Known for his contributions to microeconomics, he brought his curiosity and intellect to the fields of higher education, climate change, bounded rationality, game-theoretic models of corruption, pricing of information goods, and statistical theory of data mining.
