He was predeceased by: his parents, A. William Metzger and Gertrude Metzger; and his son Richard W. Metzger Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Mary Metzger; his daughters, Steffanie Metzger (Daniel McDermott), Kristy Metzger and Amanda Metzger; his siblings, Catherine Newell, Sally Fedirko and Robert Metzger; and his grandchildren, Benjamin Metzger, Andrew Orr, Kaylee Orr, Samantha McDermott and Alyssa McDermott.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 14th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Washington Crossing National Cemetery (830 Highland Rd, Newtown, PA 18940).
In lieu of flowers, donations in Richard's memory can be made to the US Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots or The American Legion.
