He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee Mercer Tomlinson and Kathryn Craig Tomlinson; and his daughter Susan Tomlinson Coover. He is survived by: his children, Jeffrey Tomlinson and Jill Tomlinson; his grandchildren, Ethan Coover, Wyatt Tomlinson, Savannah Carr and Ian Tomlinson; and his sisters, Paula Tomlinson Milnes and Elizabeth "Betsy" Tomlinson Kelly.
