He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Dr. Roy B. Bast and C. Edith Bast (Achey); his wife Mildred Schmehl; his sisters, Adele Bast and Gloria Boyer of Allentown, PA; and his sons, William R. Bast (Joanne) of Littlestown, PA, Robert E. Bast (Carolyn) of Blue Ash and James R. Bast (Maryann) of Neptune, NJ.. He was also cherished by his 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
