She was predeceased by: her parent Richard Thompson; her spouse Chester Kochersperger; her grandson Stephen; and her sister Elizabeth McCunny. She is survived by: her parent Marguerite Thompson; her children, Richard (Jean), Jane Pennington (Mitch) and Stephen (Patricia); and her grandchildren, Kenneth, Kevin, Kati, Kory, Kyle, Athena, Timothy, Krista and Jamie. She is also survived by three children, with Ruth always being actively involved in their activities serving as Girl Scout Leader and Den Mother.
