He was predeceased by: his siblings, Richard Welsh and Marie Stalford. He is survived by: his wife Margaret Welsh; his grandchildren, Michael Trio (Stephanie), Thomas Trio (Arianna), Joseph John Trio (SarahRose), Christopher Trio, Courtney Welsh, Andrew Welsh, Maren Welsh and Joseph John Welsh IV; his great grandchildren, Elle and Michael Trio; and his siblings, Patricia Kearney, Margaret Ellers and William Welsh.

Due to COVID-19 virus, a private Funeral Mass will be held for immediate family only.
