He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, William Ottinger and Lillian Ottinger (Beavan); his wife Nancy K. McKim; his grandchildren, John T. Ottinger III, Richard Love Jr. Stephen Ottinger, Michael Love, David Ottinger Jr., Dana Sudhop (Ottinger), Christopher Ottinger, Mathew Ottinger, Jacob Ottinger John DiGiuseppe and Cathryn DiGiuseppe; his daughters-in-law, Julie Ottinger and Tonya Ottinger; and his children, Sandra Lee Love and John T. Ottinger Jr.. He was also cherished by numerous great-grandchildren.
