He was predeceased by: his parents, John Murphy and Ann Fitzgerald Murphy; his former wife Nancy Anderson Murphy; and his brother Robert Murphy. He is survived by: his wife Gloria Hickey Murphy; his children, Jennifer Foreman (Rob), Alison Reyes (Robert), Todd Murphy (Monica) and Troy Murphy (Radha); his stepsons, John Neumann Hickey (Sue), Joseph Hickey and Conal Hickey; his siblings, Carol Rogers, Joan Clifford and Steven Murphy; and his grandchildren, Kirsten, Patrick, Madison, Kaitlin, Emily, Nick, Sean, Kyla, Veronica, Shane, Olivia, Conal Patrick and Andrew.
