It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edna M. Savage (Newtown Square, Pennsylvania), born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, who passed away on June 22, 2019, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Thomas Dougherty and Margaret Dougherty; her husband John C. "Jack" Savage; her daughters, Donna Friel (Sean) and Lynda Costello (Patrick); her grandchildren, Brian, Caroline, Michael, Kristen, Patrick and Grace; and her brother Thomas Dougherty.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Camilla Hall, 1145 W. King Road, Immaculata, PA 19345.

“Edna and I were best friends in St. Raphael's Grade School on Tinicum Avenue in Philadelphia where we both grew up. Her mother often gave me a ride on my way from the one-mile walk from my house to school. I can still remember seeing her mother's blue Ford approaching me on my daily 86th Street journey and stopping to pick me up to take me the rest of the way to school. Occasionally I was invited to their home where a piano stood in the Dougherty living room with a bench covered by a llama fur t”
