She was predeceased by: her parents, William Hunter and Helen Hunter; and her sister Susan Hunter. She is survived by: her brothers, James Wesley Hunter (Pat) and Robert William Hunter (Michele); her children, Merri Lee Newby (Chris Bozman), Hunter Newby (Candace) and McMichael Newby (Rachel); her grandchildren, Clark, Coral, Brooke, Orion Newby, Zoe, Will and Wesley Bozman; her nieces and nephews, Meg Butari (Chris), Hillary Hunter, Chris Hunter (Molly) and Bill Hunter (Heather); and her great-nieces, Cameron, Hadley, Flyn and Madison.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
