He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Thompson and Edith Thompson (Leonard); his son Brett; and his siblings, Audrey, Roger, Raymond, Francis, Paul, Joseph, James, Eugene and Donald.
He is survived by: his wife Eleanor Thompson (Saska); his children, Brian (Angela) of New York, Robert, Greg and Robin of Maryland; and his sisters, Phyllis Barnes and Rita Rightnour. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
