She was predeceased by: her parents, Luther A. Baer and Edna Ruth Baer (Garlin) of Landisburg; her former husband Robert E. Smith; her son Robert G. Smith (Elaine Hower) of Newport; and her siblings, Hazel Swarner, Geraldine Brownawell, Delois Sanders, Elwood Baer, Frederick Baer and Ted Baer.
She is survived by: her daughters, Loretta K. Baer (Dallas) of Newport and Karen L. Dobbs (Gary) of Newport; and her husband R. E. Smith. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren.
