She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Charles E. "Gene" Steffy; her parents, Katherine Dunlavy (Verdi) and Mario Zappavigna; her daughter Julie (Jay Alice) of New Lenox, IL; her grandchildren, Zachary, Zoie and Zander; and her brothers, Vince (Judy Zappavigna) of Chicago, IL and Anthony Zappavigna. She was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
