He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Doster and Elsie Doster (Ober); and his siblings, Cloyd, Melvin, Harlan Doster and Fern Behney.
He is survived by: his close friend Elizabeth Shultz; his children, Sherrie (Mark Rutherford), Sharon (Gary Knoll) and Gerald Doster, Jr.; his close friend Kristy Demmy; his granddaughter Jessica (Kyle Kloepfer); his great grandchild Ella; and his sisters, Hazel Bashore, Arnetta McMichael, Katie Killian and Patricia Gibble. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
