He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell A. Shissler and Mary Farver Hess Shissler; and his brothers, James Shissler and Jacob Shissler. He is survived by: his wife Ruth A. Shissler; his children, John (Denise) of Schuykill Haven, PA, David (Kathy) of Hummelstown, PA, Andrew (Andrea) of Delmont, PA, Jann (Rodney Diller) and Susanne (Eric Fisher) of Red Lion, PA; and his siblings, Anna Houser of Lebanon, PA, Miriam Shissler of Elizabethtown, PA and Allen Shissler of Sabinsville, PA. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 13 nieces and nephews.
