He is survived by: his wife Mary Porterfield (Hilewick); his sons, Seth Porterfield (Mary) of Pittsburgh and Matthew Porterfield of New Stanton; his grandchildren, William, Adam, Conner and Aaron; and his siblings, Clifford, Cindy (Roy), Darryl (Cindy), Sandy and Ron (Melanie). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Down Syndrome Association or to Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund.
