He was predeceased by: his parents, Victor E. Nelson and Edith J. Iams Nelson; and his half-siblings, Glenn Coneby and Caroline Coneby Starenchak. He is survived by: his wife Agnes L. Garris Nelson; his daughter Dina L. Nelson Stewart; his grandchildren, Benjamin and Samantha Stewart; his stepchildren, Larry Schuck (Theresa), Timothy Schuck (Donna) and Cindy Monyok (Jason); and his stepgrandchildren, Madeline, Emma and Ryan Schuck. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to help the Johnson's Angels.
