He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew T. Popyack and Catherine Popyack (Gresek); and his siblings, Mary Varnovich, Ann Welch, Irene Solensky, Catherine Hart, Margaret Temchack, Joseph, Andrew "Lefty", Leonard and Martin.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Ann Popyak (Lutchka); his sons, Edward Jr. of Altoona and Stephen of New Stanton; and his brother Francis (Henrietta) of Murrysville. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
