We are sad to announce that on October 6, 2020, at the age of 84, Edward J. Gavlak of New Stanton, Pennsylvania, born in Mount Pleasant, Pennsylvania passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, William J. Gavlak and Helen S. Kolar Gavlak; his wife Thelma M. Dietz Gavlak; his brother William R. Gavlak (Eileen); and his son-in-law Louis Yemc.

He is survived by: his children, Denise M. Gavlak Yemc of Las Vegas, NV., Thomas V. Gavlak of Irwin, Carmen D. Tarasky (Michael) of New Stanton and Matthew R. Gavlak of Missouri; and his siblings, Anita Fosbrink (Timothy) of Acme, Agnes Sikorski (Roland) of Hobart, IN and David R. Gavlak (Lucille) of Somers, CT.. He is also survived by five grandchildren; five great grandchildren.
