He was predeceased by: his parents, Irvin Frances and Ruth Mensch Woodward (Fox); his wife Betty Mensch (Ritenour); his son Duane S. Mensch; his sister Betty Davis (Mensch); and his stepsiblings, William Woodward Jr., John Allen Woodward, James R. Woodward and Louise Woodward.

He is survived by: his sons, Dale Mensch Jr. (Gretchen) of Plum and Dean A. Mensch of New Stanton; his brothers, Barry Woodward (Doreen) of Phoenix, Ariz and Ted Woodward (Joann) of Greensburg; and his brother-in-law Ernest Davis.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like memorial donations to be made to St. Mark's Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 103, Arona, PA 15617.
