He was predeceased by: his parents, William V. Heitmann and Mary Frances Heitmann (Barrett); and his siblings, Virginia Eichenberger and James Heitmann. He is survived by: his sister Deborah (Eric Schweitzer) of Danbury; his wife Carole M. Heitmann (Gustavson); his children, William Heitmann of New Ringgold and Shirley Smith (Robert) of East Stroudsburg; his grandchildren, Anna Heitmann, Jessica (Jakub Filip), Samantha (Sean Young), Robert (Emily Smith) and Ava Smith; his great grandchildren, Amelia, Oliver and Zane; and his grandchildren, Michael and Danielle Andreini. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
