He was predeceased by: his parents, Felix Kanaski and Gladys Kanaski (Murawski); his wife Sarah E. Kanaski (Batty); and his son Mark E. Kanaski. He is survived by: his sons, Richard S. Kanaski Jr. (Meg Mack), Robert J. Kanaski (Marjorie), Michael K. Kanaski, Tim W. Kanaski (Denise) and Ronald Hollander (Charlotte); his grandchildren, Christopher Kanaski, Megan Kanaski, Katherine Kanaski, Jennifer Kanaski, Stephanie Kanaski, Robert S. Kanaski, Ashley Sinclair, Andrew Kanaski, Grayson Shivell, Olivia Shivell, Shayne and Cameron Hollander; his great grandchildren, Dutch and James VanSloten; his grandchildren, Kenzie Sinclair, Adalynn and Brody Hollander; and his friend Melvin Gentner.
