As Mary Virginia departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Mary Virginia may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Mary Virginia leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her husband Charles R. "Pete" Mackey; her parents, George Steward and Frances Carrigan; and her brother Clifford Carrigan. She is survived by: her children, Rodney (Cindy McMinn Mackey) of Salunga, Donna Sigman of Willow Street, Wanda Myers of East Lampeter and Clyde (Barbara Sylvan Mackey) of Lititz. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 3 great-granddaughters.
Viewing was held on Monday, February 24th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Reynolds & Shivery Funeral Home (144 E State St, Quarryville, PA 17566).
