He was predeceased by: his parents, George Weaver and Margaret Weaver (Kolb); and his brother George Weaver. He is survived by: his wife Marsha I. Weaver (Boyer); his son John R. Weaver, Jr. of New Providence; and his siblings, Carl Weaver (Donna) of Mt. Joy, Thomas Weaver (Lori Ann), Margaret Ledwich (Leonard) of Johnstown and Elizabeth Gerber of Lancaster.
