He was predeceased by: his parent Ralph McCleary; and his brother Dean M. McCleary. He is survived by: his spouse Susan A. McCleary (Lenox); his parent Ethel McCleary (Althouse); his children, Brian D. McCleary (Amy) of New Park, PA and Dawn M.; his spouse Michael Janssen of Quarryville, PA; his grandchildren, Joshua McCleary, Nicole McCleary, Kendal, Josie, Brady and Avery Janssen; and his sisters, Glenda (Henry Sommer) and Joyce.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Prospect U.M. Cemetery Association, 8 Orchard Rd., New Park, PA 17352 in honor of Dale R. McCleary and/or South Eastern School District, 377 Main St. Fawn Grove, PA 17321, c/o "Dollars for Scholars Scholarship Memorial" in honor of Dale R. McCleary.
