He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Cottle and Vera R. Cottle (Perice); his sisters, Nancy Osborne (Cottle) and Linda Holderbaum (Cottle); and his brother-in-law Merlin Osborne.
He is survived by: his son Andrew Cottle; his sister Debbie Cottle of Alum Bank; his brother-in-law Dennis (Tina Holderbaum) of Loysburg; his nephews, Jeremy (Amber Holderbaum) and Jacob Holderbaum of Alum Bank; and his niece Jeanette Holderbaum (Dennis Tompson).
