It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gene H. Shaffer of New Paris, Pennsylvania, who passed away on April 28, 2022, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis E. Shaffer Sr. and Reta J. Shaffer (Lohr); and his siblings, Ida Richardson, Anna Lambert, Sarah Miller, Lewis E. Shaffer, Jr. and John Shaffer.
He is survived by: his children, Larry G. Shaffer (Tina) of Desert Hills, AZ, LuAnne (Rick Schofield) and Chris; his former wife Mary Lou Shaffer (Kinzey); his grandchildren, Brian Shaffer (Tiffany), Trudy McCreary (Sean), Nicole Claar (David) and John Bridaham; his great grandchildren, Colton, Kyle, Emily, Mason, Rylie, Shaylie, Janet Detwiler and Doberman Doc; and his caregivers, Mona, Holly, Janet and Gene.
